Final Assessment - What I did get out of West Sumatra ...
After a day of many technical presentations and intense discussions it was the common feeling not to leave the theater without a round-up and final assessment.
Birgit Kerstan and Nena Soeprapto-Jansen, used to such situations as professional moderators, proposed to split the plenum in smaller groups and to discuss the following topics:
1. WHAT DID I GET OUT OF MY WORK IN WEST SUMATRA?
2. HOW DID I APPLY AND DEVELOP IT ELSEWHERE?
3. HOW DID WE CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEST SUMATRA? WAS IT WORTH IT?
After intense group internal discussions the findings were noted on cards, clustered and presented by a representative to the Plenum. Thomas Krimmel, our computer wizard, volunteered to take the minutes still during the presentation. Here are the final results. The text is “asli” by Thomas.
Before leaving for the Rhine river cruise everybody was asked to indicate with a pin the countries he or she has worked after ADP and could thus apply knowledge gained there. The map (see on top) looks impressive and is still to enlarge: ADP knowhow – worldwide.
