Detlef Kammeier was educated in Germany but spent most of his professional career in Asia. Since 1972 he is resident in Bangkok and assigned to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for 25 years from 1976 until 2000.
ADP contracted his services in 1985 while he was Professor for Urban and Regional Planning at the AIT. He conducted the survey together with his fellow consultant, Mr. Erfried Neubauer, who has unfortunately passed away since then.
There findings were most important for the ADP planners to adjust project inputs to foreseen changes in the institutional and settlement structure of West Pasaman. Since his retirement he continued to offer his services as visiting Professor and Consultant ranging from urban conversation to strategic urban planning and regional development.
