Masri Vani joined ADP in Sukamenanti as early as 1984, then as a member of the Agricultural Extension Section. He was in charge of producing extension materials both for upland agriculture as well as for irrigated rice. He assisted also with extension aids in the Women Promotion Programme and other ADP Sections.
Masri is a very dedicated photographer and videographer, he produced the video film when the ADP team crossed on foot from West to North Sumatra via Desa Baru. He left ADP at the end of the project and joined other employers.
In 1994 he however rejoined GTZ - Area Development for Rehabilitation of Critical Land and the Protection of Natural Resources and Environment (Pro-RLK Padang). Masri was recruited in July 2012 and is by now a Multimedia Professional of the GIZ Renewable Energy Programme Indonesia/ASEAN in Jakarta.
In March 2016 Masri was given permission to join Heinz-Josef Heile und Wolfram Hiemann to visit Padang and West-Pasaman to take the footage for the film and record the various interviews. Special thanks go to him and his superiors to enable the ADP Alumnis to present this film.
